Drive quite freely through still virgin spaces; pass from the sea to
the mountains in just some hours. A dream? No-no. A reality in Crete!
Jean-Philippe, a confirmed enduro-driver, will guide you on the numerous
tracks the island counts. Trails from 3 up to 8 days, departing from
Chania or Heraklion, in the East- or Westwards direction. We’ll put good
motorcycles at your disposal. And from a team which likes as much the
motorcycle as the local gastronomy & the Cretan lifestyle, expect
nothing but a great assistance, as confirmed in numerous articles in
specialized publications.

Example of a Ride with Motorcycle
Departing from Heraklion, we’ll head in the western direction. Our motorcycles, Yamaha TT250R or an equivalent model, will take us to the faults of fabulous landscapes, allowing us to discover a still unexplored Crete. As lunch is included in the price, we’ll take this opportunity to introduce you to the tasteful Cretan cuisine. Also in the evening you may taste delicious local specialties.
In detail:
- Day 1: Welcoming at the airport of Heraklion, transfer to your hotel in the city center, meal in a local ouzerie & briefing.
- Day 2: On the outskirts of town, we’ll take small roads and drive away in the direction of the Mount Psiloritis. We’ll cross the Nida-tray, pass by the cave where Zeus lived, downhill towards the village of Zaros. After lunch, we‘ll continue towards the creek of Agios Pavlos, where we’ll spend the night.
- Day 3: Following a long track along the south coast towards the Monastery of Preveli, descending to ancient Lappa; towards the north coast. After lunch we’ll head via small roads – with astonishing mountain view- towards Chania. Along the gorge of Therisso and some magnificent tracks further on to Kalergi (on 1630 m), offering splendid views of the famous Samaria gorge. Downhill to Omalos, where we will spend the night.
- Day 4: Early in the morning, descent by
magnificent tracks towards Kastelli, to join the small mountain massif
along the west coast which we shall follow until Elafonissi. In order to reach our accommodation
in Milia, we’ll have to climb over 1.000 meters. The place seems to be in the middle of no where, without electricity, but with impressive charm.
- Day 5: From Milia, we’ll drive through valleys to Deliana, then towards the small village of Deres, passing through the faults of orange & olive groves to Chiliomoudou. After a short lunch break, we’ll set course towards the Lake of Kourna where we shall accommodate.
- Day 6: On the heights of the city of Rethymnon, we shall join by ledges the village of Chromonastiri, continuing to the Monastery of Arcadi, before we’ll set track to
Matala, the last village that used to house hippies in Crete. Accommodation in the village.
- Day 7: Along the Libyan Sea, towards Lendas to famous Tripiti. After a short break, over magnificent tracks in deserted mountain area to Asteroussias. Downhill to the fertile plain of Messara. And finally back towards Heraklion through vineyards collided on the slopes of the Mount Youchtas.
- Day 8:
Transfer towards the airport of Héraklion.
This trail addresses all those who wish to discover inner Crete on motorcycle or in the 4x4 assistance’s vehicle, without any competitive spirit or speed, but with a guide letting you discover numerous tracks and regions in the middle of nowhere, close to the population. Our 4x4 of assistance, will convey all your luggage, and spare parts for the motorcycles, so we can assure the necessary maintenance. Every evening an accommodation in a double room will be reserved for you. The local inns, where we’ll consume our breakfast and lunches, have been selected for their outstanding cooking and\or location.

Road - non guided
With a BMW GS 650, Honda Transalp or Yamaha XT660 we propose you a 7 day- drive (or a longer one) with a detailed road book. For your comfort, our bikes are fully equipped with side- and top cases. The chosen hotels are all on a bed and breakfast base. It is also possible to combine this trip with an optional holiday program in the White Mountain & South coast. The track lined out for you consists of about 140 to 180 kilometers a day. There are numerous of stops proposed, giving you time to bath or chat with the locals. There’ll be also plenty of opportunities to visit archaeological sites, monasteries and small typical villages. You are free to stop where you fancy and enjoy our island.
In detail:
- Day 1: Welcoming at the airport of Héraklion,
transfer towards the hotel in the city center,
tour briefing.
- Day 2: On the outskirts of town, you’ll take small roads and drive away of Rethymnon, stop at the Monastery of Arcadi. Then you’ll take the direction of Apokoronas, one of the most beautiful regions of the island, and stop in Almyrida to spend the night.
- Day 3: In the direction of the west coast, with a beautiful stop in Kastelli – Kissamos, to join a good dirt track to Gramvousa, the blue lagoon of Crete. Return over a small mountain massif along the west coast until Elafonissi to reach your
accommodation to Milia, the village lost in the mountains, devoid of
electricity and an impressive charm.
- Day 4: Leaving Milia, you’ll cross through valleys up to the Omalos plateau and the impressive gorge of Samaria. Following down the Therisso’s gorge to Chania, where you’ll spend the night in a charming hotel in the historical center of the town.
- Day 5: During this day, you‘ll first discover the city of Chania, then by road to the Kourna’s Lake and over the mountain’s secondary roads to the South coast. Possibility to go to the village of Anopolis and visit the magnific bridge over the Aradaina’s gorge. Accommodation in Frangokastello.
- Day 6: Along the Libyan Sea towards the
fortress of Frangokastello, to the Monastery of Preveli to join
Matala for the night.
- Day 7: Over Mount Asteroussies to Lendas and return set for Heraklion.
- Day 8: transfer to the airport of
Heraklion.
